Jury Information

Identity thieves have called and threatened persons for failing to report to jury service in various counties to receive money. Thieves asked for confidential information and claimed to be with the District Clerk's Office. These scammers are threatening jurors in an attempt to fraudulently receive money. DO NOT give them money or credit card information.

The staff of the Fort Bend County District Clerk's Office will NEVER call you and ask for your Social Security Number, credit card numbers or other sensitive information.

DO NOT give out such information to anyone who calls you that claims to be with the District Clerk's Office. If you have any doubts about a caller who claims to be from the Fort Bend County District Clerk's Office, please verify their identity before giving out information.

The District Clerk's Office has taken every precaution to ensure your visit to the Fort Bend Justice Center is a safe and healthy one.   If you have any questions regarding Jury Duty, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the District Clerk’s Office at (281) 344-3900, and we will gladly address all of your concerns.

Jury personnel may be off-site every Tuesday and Wednesday to facilitate jury service. Please leave a message and someone will contact you as soon as possible.

 BEFORE REPORTING FOR JURY SERVICE

You are instructed to check your status on the eResponse website at https://www.fbctx.gov/jury-eresponse or call (281) 972-2721 anytime after 5:00 PM the evening before you are scheduled to appear for service. The automated message will tell you if there has been a change in your jury service. It is sometimes necessary to cancel or reschedule a jury panel, so you MUST CALL to receive final instructions.

DEFERRING YOUR JURY SERVICE 

Please scan the QR Code on your jury summons or visit the eResponse website at https://www.fbctx.gov/jury-eresponse for information to defer your jury service. The questionnaire must be completed and submitted to receive the ability to defer your service. Once submitted, select "Defer Service".
